N.W.A.'s Straight Outta Compton Movie Planned!

It's about time! There has been a green film light for N.W.A's biopic Straight Outta Compton. The movie is going through revisions right now because they have some documentarian leading the show, and he doesn't know who to bring DRAMA. This movie would be whack without drama, so they have to bring on a Hollywood hot-shot to make this joint theatrical.

A brief about what you will see in this movie:

"The bond that Cube, Dre, Eazy-E, Yella and Ren formed surviving on the streets as teens is the foundation of the movie as we then see them go through trial after trial once they hit the big time. From manager Jerry Heller (who will not be portrayed to kindly in the film), to the fighting between Cube and Eazy-E, to the media backlash that they faced. The movie will show how the group was torn apart and then how they ultimately reconciled during the news of Eazy-E’s bout with AIDs. While the script does touch upon Eazy-E’s death, it is the ties that bind the group from their early days in South Central that bring them back together again as they say final goodbyes to Eazy."

Michel'le is hitting Suge Knight (like he needs to get hit anymore this year) with child support charges through bankruptcy court. Ya'll know that fool is broke.

"The singer, and late '90s interim head of Death Row is seeking over $40,000 in court-ordered spousal charges, as well as assistance in ensuring that Knight pays the $13,000 plus thousand required monthly by court order.

Michel'le's suit claims that the two "agreed to marry" after Knight's 1997 incarceration. The singer, who in addition to have a child, Bailei, with Suge, is also mother to at least one child, with late '80s and early '90s boyfriend Dr. Dre."

I am so late to the after party,'cause I didn't know Michel'le was baby mama to Dr. Dre and Suge Knight. Damn, talk about keeping it in the family.

Rakim discusses his 1998 Remake of Malcom Mclaren's Buffalo Gals

Malcolm Mclaren's original Buffalo Gals is a gritty, early Hip hop electro song that was a pioneering record that helped to bring the whole hip hop culture to the forefront back in the early 80's. He teamed up with The World Famous Supreme Team to lay down this Jewel. In the next decade Legendary MC Rakim (of Eric b & Rakim fame) Sampled the track in 1998 for his own solo single. Again Mclaren's track is a forgotten classic and a must have in the crate. Class is in session Folks!

Tell Me They Don't Look Alike! Cmon

This is too funny!

and as they say..the rest was history!!

This song is really the song that planted the seed in me. I used to listen to this song over and over again when i was around 11 years old. It is my favorite RUN D.M.C. tune. I remember staying up late on weekend nights after checking out W.W.F. wrestling to watch Video Music Box. Look closely to the video I spotted a young LL Cool J in the background and turbo from the movie "breakin". This brings back memories! This song captured me as a young boy and as they say..the rest was history!!!

Legendary MC Kool Moe Dee Hosts Online Hip-Hop Debate Show

Manhattan's Kool Moe Dee got his start in the group The Treacherous Three in the late '70s. As a young rapper he participated in one of the most famous rap battles ever against fellow New York MC Busy Bee, trouncing him with a nearly five-minute freestyle dis that set the tone for many hip-hop feuds to come.
By the mid '80s Moe had graduated to a prominent solo career of his own. His biggest commercial hit, 'I Go to Work', came off his third album, 'Knowledge is King.' And he kept on feuding - in fact, today's hip hop aficionados might know him best for his long-running lyrical animosity with L.L. Cool J.
These days, Legendary MC Kool Moe Dee has signed on to host “Spitfire,” a Hip-Hop focused online debate show that airs on social networking site iamhiphop.com. According to Billboard.com, the show is taped in front of a live studio audience in Los Angeles, and features the Harlem born-MC moderating lively debates between a panel of three guests. The recently taped sixth episode of “Spitfire” featured guests MC Lyte, Chuck D and radio and TV host Tavis Smiley discussing topics such as the absence of black political leadership today, and whether or not social and political messages are being intentionally censored from today’s rap music. “This is about the evolution of hip-hop and representing its culture,” says Alex Avant, of iamhiphop.com. Each show tapes for 90 minutes and iamhiphop.com started airing three to five minute segments at the end of November. Previous guests include Doug E. Fresh, Warren G, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and author Nelson George. Avant hopes “Spitfire” will eventually be picked up for network television.

Its Time For Tony Phillips 4 Mayor 2009 of Allentown

I'm not one that usually gets involved in politics, but after the gross injustice the current mayor of Allentown inflicted on me this year with his Hitler style ambush on my business!, and due to a very good candidate Tony Phillips deciding to run for Mayor in 2009,I feel it is my duty to spread the word. I believe we need a leader who is here to help the struggling business owners and hard working people of this community, not just the people who pay to play! I believe the younger generation needs to step up (just like they did for President Obama) and show the currupt people in office the strength in numbers The honest normal people have! Our Votes this November will hopefully be enough to prove that we can all stand together for what is right and send a message to them all! Please don't hesitate to contact me and I will send you in the right direction (to register and vote/and or where to vote at). Some people I know will be arranging a shuttle to pick up people to vote this November,so please...... THERE IS NO EXCUSE to not vote! Anyway here are a couple of videos to get yourself familiar with The next Mayor of Allentown P.A. Please spread the word and Please consider voting for Tony This November if you live in the city of Allentown. We cannot continue to strive as a community with the current Mayor! He is not in touch with reality. We need to move on in a new more positive direction in this city!

The story of the homeless rapper!

This is the story of a homeless rapper that Old school mc D-Nice met on the streets of Brooklyn. D Nice feels for him because it's quite obvious he has suffered a great deal as a child. D-Nice doesn't agree nor do i with how he has lived his life but everyone deserves to be forgiven.

You Are My All In All

An often enticing and enchanting vocalist, Joyce Sims hasn't emerged as a disco diva with crossover appeal despite making some excellent singles. Born in Rochester, Sims formally studied music in college, learning a number of instruments. An agent introduced her to Ron Resnick of Sleeping Bag Records, who signed her in 1986... This is once again one of them old school joints that is one of my all time favorites!

Here is Joyce Simms myspace -

Some forget The Greatest College basketball team Ever! The 1990 and 1991 UNLV Runnin’ Rebels

It's easy for me to remember The UNLV Runnin Rebels they where my favorite college team back in the late 80's early 90s. They where the most dominent team of that era and as far as im concerned ever! They were, by far, one of the best and most feared teams in college basketball, then and ever since. They included Greg Anthony running the show, Stacey Augmon as their defensive specialist, Anderson Hunt as a deadly shooter, and, of course, Dallas’ own Larry Johnson.
Simply put, it was the first time I watched basketball, saw two teams in warm-ups, and knew a game was over before it even started.
In a 34-game span, they won by an average, AN AVERAGE, of 27.3 points per game. They would smash on people in the Big West Conference, smash on folks in the bigger conferences, so either way you looked at it, they were the real deal.
Their swagger was that authentic; they were just that gangsta. The orchestrator of this collection of talent was Tark the Shark, Jerry Tarkanian. He was able to get the most out of all his players, allowing them to hoop and play at a pace that flustered, frustrated, and pretty much pissed off all their opponents, and even when the mainstream would hate on them, he had his player’s backs. Nolan Richardson, the former Arkansas Razorbacks legend, says UNLV is the best team he’s ever seen, and is not sure that anyone else is even close.
UNLV destroyed Duke in the title game in 1990, but came up short in the semi-final the next year even after going undefeated all season. To this day, I’m convinced UNLV lost that game, partly because they didn’t take Duke seriously.

Here is a little highlight video for those of you who where not old enough to remember or never heard of the great Larry johnson and the runnin rebels.
